The Eddie Chandler Gallery is the club’s interface with the public.
We show a number of exhibitions each year which helps to showcase photography by our members, by other photographers in Ireland and by photographers from overseas.
Through this we aim to encourage members of the public to find out more about the club, its activities and to enjoy the images on display.
The Gallery is named after the late Eddie Chandler who was one of the most prominent members of the Club. On his death the members renamed the Gallery in his honour.
The Eddie Chandler Gallery is also registered with FIAP (the International Federation of Photographic Art) and is part of the group of FIAP Exhibition Centres. Through this connection we are able to source exhibitions for the Gallery and our members are also invited to participate in exhibitions in other FIAP Exhibition Centres.
The Gallery is open, with the help and support of members, on Saturdays from 11am to 5pm. We ask members to volunteer – either singly or as a small group – to be a supervisor for one of the time shifts each Saturday. These are from 11am to 2pm and 2pm to 5pm.
You can volunteer by clicking HERE – which will bring you to a spreadsheet where you can enter your name for your chosen date and timeslot.
Alternatively, if you want to volunteer, you can contact our Club Honorary This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
If you do not have keys to the Club house please let the Club Honorary Secretary know and arrangements will be made to give you access. Alternatively, please attend the Club meeting on the previous Tuesday where you will be given keys to the club.
Full details in relation to access to the Gallery and how to interact with members of the public are available in the general guide to Gallery Supervision. This information is also available on paper in the Gallery.
