ON NOW IN THE EDDIE CHANDLER GALLERY
"My journey in Photography started like most others, shooting the kids and taking family photos, and as I “progressed” flowers, landscapes and seascapes became my favourite subjects. I like experimenting and in more recent times I have produced a series of abstract images combining multiple-exposure with ICM (intentional camera movement) featuring Trees as the predominant subject.
Trees are the subject matter of this Fellowship panel “Trees Inspired” which is now exhibited. My approach was to try to show Trees in a minimalist way revealing their unique structure, shape and form. In order to do this the images were created over two winters and on foggy days. I hope you enjoy this exhibition."

Trees Inspired
Trees are one of the most joyous elements within the landscape. While enhancing the most simplest of scenes they are nonetheless individuals with their own unique structure, rhythm, and geometry, which at times, is almost human-like.
All these trees were photographed within the Phoenix Park, and the images were simplified by creating them in winter and on misty days.
Some stand alone, others in groups, some ‘dance’, some are twisted others are straight, all are silent.
