Club Values

Dublin Camera Club - Values of the Club
The object of the Club shall be to assist its members, and members of the public who are interested in the art of photography, with the provision of lectures, classes, equipment and such other aids as shall be desirable.

The club is a voluntary organisation
The club is a voluntary organisation run by its members, for its members. Members are expected to contribute and give back wherever possible.

The club should be a fun environment
Members are expected to foster a mutually supportive environment, helping each other develop photographic skills. Members should always feel that the club is a safe, respectful, and courteous environment.

The face of the club
In external dealings with members of the public, other clubs, and on social media, members need to remember that they are representing the club and as such, need to promote a spirit of dignity and goodwill toward others, respecting the club's good name.

Custodians for the future
As members of the club - in particular council members - we need to be mindful that we are merely custodians for the future of the club. Our actions and activities need to reflect the history of the club but, more importantly, make decisions cognisant of the long-term benefit for the club.
